The challenge

Ordering, warehousing and reporting each held their own version of the truth. Reconciling them was a recurring task rather than a one-off fix, and the business was making decisions on numbers that had already aged.

For a distributor, that shows up where it hurts: availability promises, picking accuracy and the confidence to commit to a customer on the phone.

What we implemented

We deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across ordering, warehousing and financial reporting, so an order taken at the front end is the same record the warehouse picks against and finance reports on.

The rollout was phased and reviewed with the client at every step, keeping the business running while the new process was bedded in.
